I've always been fascinated about what makes people tick, I started to develop this interest through studying for a Psychology degree, looking at the different ways in which individuals and their behaviours manifest themselves in the world. For the last 10 years, I've been working in the retail sector in the arena of buying and marketing in WH Smith. I have had experience of a number of organisational environments, from the local family business to the global corporate brand; from the traditional hierarchical design to the company reinventing themselves for the 21st century. What arose for me in all those varying businesses was that I became frustrated with invisible obstacles, that mental block that stops your company from achieving what you want.
When I came across Achieve Breakthrough, I intuitively felt that the Breakthrough methodologies would offer some insight into this organisational phenomenon, and reassuringly I have found that they do offer a new dimension. I now have a truly refreshed enthusiasm for the power of the individual and the team dynamic in making the 'impossible' happen by shifting the existing perspective and creating new possibilities.
